PA complains to UN that Israel breached Gaza cease-fire

The Palestinian Authority issued a complaint to the UN Security Council Friday after Gaza medical officials said IDF gunfire across the border with the Strip killed a Palestinian earlier in the day.

The PA's envoy to the UN, Riyad Mansour, was quoted by the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency as saying Israel had violated the cease-fire agreement with Hamas which ended eight days of fighting on Wednesday.

The IDF stated that a group of Palestinians attempted to breach the Gaza border on Friday prompting them to fire warning shots in the air and then directing fire at the suspects' feet when they did not heed warnings to stop.
