Pakistan reluctantly accepts $5 million in aid from India

Pakistan agreed to accept a $5 million aid donation from India Friday to combat floods that have left over 20 million people homeless.
The donation had been on hold, allegedly for political reasons, but international and US pressure convinced Pakistan to accept.
The US yesterday doubled its flood aid from $80 to $150 million, hoping to gain goodwill with the Islamic nation, as it called on Pakistan's ally China to increase its aid, which currently stands at $7.4 million pledged.
The UN has so far raised half of its target $460 million to help Pakistan.
