Palestinian charged over Islamic Jihad plot

A Palestinian resident of the West Bank conspired with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group to transfer funds to the Palestinian Authority via an Israeli from the Beduin city of Rahat, according to an indictment served in the Beersheba District Court on Monday.
Najah al-Karnawi, aged 49, lived illegally in Rahat for an extended period. In May, Karnawi agreed to provide services to Islamic Jihad by transferring funds to them. Allegedly, Karnawi then asked a resident of Rahat to take money to the Palestinian Authority, and told him that they were donations intended for her family in the West Bank.
Karnawi is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, providing services to an illegal organization and illegal residency in Israel.
