Palestinian man arrested after cursing police 17,000 times

A Palestinian man who is alleged to have called a police operator 17,000 times over four months to curse at her and then hang up was brought to Jerusalem Magistrate's Court on Friday where his remand was extended until Monday.

The suspect, a Palestinian resident of the village of Yatta in the West Bank, was arrested in Hebron earlier in the week.
