Palestinian prisoners released, completing Schalit deal

The IDF completed the release of 550 Palestinian prisoners in the second stage of the prisoner exchange deal for Gilad Schalit Sunday night. At 10:15 p.m., the IDF Spokesman said, the prisoners were transferred through various crossing points and into east Jerusalem.

Five hundred and five prisoners were released into the West Bank from the Ofer Prison and 41 into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing. Two prisoners were released to Jordan through the Allenby Bridge crossing and two others released into east Jerusalem.
