A Hamas policeman was killed early Monday morning in an Israeli Air Force airstrike on a Hamas base in the northern Gaza Strip. Palestinians said that policeman Mohammed Kilani was killed in an airstrike against a police compound near Gaza City.
The strike came in response to a Kassam rocket that was fired into Israel on Sunday. No one was injured in the rocket attack.
In October, 52 rockets and six mortar shells were fired into Israel. The IDF said that it would not tolerate continued rocket fire against Israeli cities and that Hamas would be held responsible for such attacks.
