Palin says media manufacturing blood libel against her

Alaska — Sarah Palin posted a nearly eight-minute video on her Facebook page early Wednesday, accusing journalists and pundits of inciting hatred and violence in the wake of a deadly Arizona shooting that gravely wounded a US congresswoman.

Last spring, Palin targeted Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' district in Arizona as one of 20 that should be taken back. Palin has been criticized for marking each district with the cross hairs of a gun sight.

"But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible," she said.
