Peres attends grandson's graduation

Less than a week after his release from hospital following a hernia operation, President Shimon Peres, who in August will celebrate his 89th birthday, was out and about again, and looking a picture of health.

Peres, who has conducted several meetings during the week, and even met on Thursday with Homeland star Mandy Patenkin, attended the graduation ceremony later in the day of students who had completed their courses at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya.

Although Peres has attended similar ceremonies at Israel's various institutes for higher education, this one was particularly meaningful because the graduates included his grandson Nadav, the son of venture capitalist Chemi Peres and his wife Gila.

The President advised the graduates not to miss opportunities to investigate, to change, to be inspired and to excel, thereby proving that the investment in their education was worthwhile.
