Peres meets with Opposition Leader Yacimovich

Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich met with president Shimon Peres on Sunday morning in her new capacity as leader of the opposition.
She told the president that she had planned to be the opposition leader after the election and suddenly, within two days, had found herself in a new role due to Kadima's decision to join the government coalition, canceling elections.
"It's a heavy responsibility," Peres told her, to which Yacimovich replied that in a democracy, it's sometimes more important to be the leader of the opposition than to be the prime minister.
