Peretz's Kadima coalition proposal postponed

The Labor faction decided on Monday to postpone a vote on a proposal by MK Amir Peretz to form a negotiating team that would set guidelines with Kadima for the party joining the coalition.
According to Peretz's plan, after drafting the guidelines, they would be brought to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu with an ultimatum that if he did not accept them, neither party would be in the coalition, but if he did, both would be.
The faction decided to wait with the proposal until Netanyahu returns from a visit to Washington that is expected in two weeks.
