PM: I'm strengthening settlement, respecting the law

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Wednesday evening said his guiding principle is strengthen Jewish settlement in the West Bank, but said there is another principle he must protect - the rule of law.

Speaking after the eviction of a number of Jewish families from a home in Hebron they moved into without authorization, Netanyahu said, "We are strengthening Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and we are strengthening Jewish settlement in Hebron."

"But there is one principle that we must protect, and we are doing everything while respecting the law, and we will continue to do so," he added.
