PM says he supports Fischer's bid to be IMF chief

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu discussed his attitude toward Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer's decision seek the top job at the IMF, speaking at a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in Rome on Monday.
Recalling a conversation with the BoI governor several days before his announcement, Netanyahu said his response then was, "If you want to go,  you'll have our blessing."
The prime minister acknowledged that losing the country's top economist would "create a problem for us if it happens,
