PM tells Arab MKs Israeli-Arabs will also have to serve

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with a group of Arab MKs on Thursday, telling them that soon all Israeli citizens would have to perform national service, including Israeli Arabs.
Netanyahu's comments came after Yisrael Beytenu and Habayit Hayehudi resigned from the Keshev Committee after the panel, charged with finding a more equal way of distributing the service burden, announced that it was not recommending obligatory service for all Israeli Arabs, but rather suggesting a plan by which 6,000 Arabs would be gradually integrated into service by 2016.
"I will not support a bill in the Knesset that will not represent the principle of equality - for haredim and Arabs," Channel 10 quoted Netanyahu as saying.
