PM to world envoys: Don't support unilateral PA state bid

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with a delegation of 20 ambassadors from around the world in Jerusalem on Monday and urged them not to support a unilaterally declared Palestine in the UN this September. Netanyahu said the move could cause serious damage to the political process.
The prime minister told the ambassadors, who are all stationed in Washington, that "supporting a UN resolution could severely damage the possibility of resuming direct negotiations and the peace process."
The delegation, initiated by the organization ISRAEL PROJECT, was attended by the ambassadors of countries including Slovakia, Bosnia - Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia and Burkina - Faso.
