11suspected Taliban members, including two senior commanders, have beenkilled in an air and ground assault by NATO-Afghan forces in northern Afghanistan.
Gen.Kabir Andarabi, the police chief for Baghlan province, said that Wednesday'sjoint operation was targeting a Taliban compound west of the provincialcapital of Pul-e-Khumri.
He said no civilian casualties have beenreported.
NATO said that it could not comment on ongoing operations.
