Police: Kiryat Yam mayor illegally given beach front tender

Kiryat Yam Mayor Shmuel Siso should be indicted for illegally awarding a tender for pristine beach front property to to a company, police announced on Wednesday, following the end of an investigation by the Lahav 433 Unit and the northern branch of the National Fraud Unit.

Police believe that in 2008, Siso and others in his municipality ensured that the A.R. Zim company was awarded the tender to construct a commercial center, and allegedly violated the terms of the open tender by misleading the tender committee, which approved the transaction.
