Police prepared for disorder in Beit Shemesh protest

Police have finished preparations for a large demonstration for women's rights in Beit Shemesh, Army Radio reported Tuesday.
Hundreds of protesters were expected in the city that houses large haredi (ultra-Orthodox) and national religious communities against the exclusion of women from public spaces.
Police closed Herzog street in Beit Shemesh to incoming and outgoing traffic. Hundreds of police and riot control officers were dispatched to the site of the demonstration in order to maintain order.
