Policeman found guilty of slapping boy, pulling his hair

A beach patrol police officer, Eli Shaked, was found guilty in the Haifa District Court on Wednesday of slapping a 15-year-old boy waiting outside his office in January.

Shaked admitted that he slapped the boy for laughing. When Shaked asked the boy why he was laughing, the boy replied, "This is a democratic country."

In light of the boy's response, the officer grabbed his hand, turned it behind his back, brought him to the ground, slapped him, pulled his hair, and told him to apologize.
