Poll: Public prefers Yacimovich over Barak as Labor head

The Israeli public would prefer to see MK Shelly Yacimovich head the Labor party rather than its current head, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, according to poll results published Tuesday.
Asked if Barak was fit to head the party, 31 percent of participants answered negatively, while an additional 21 percent said he was only moderately qualified for the job. The same percentage - 21 - responded that Yacimovich was the one who was moderately qualified.
14 percent of the participants said Yacimovich was highly capable of heading the party, compared to nine percent who said the same of Barak. 18 percent said Yacimovich was quite capable of filling the position, while ten percent responded similarly about Barak.
