Polls open across the East Coast in 2010 midterm elections

Congressional midterm elections in the United States were kicking off as polls across the East Coast opened at 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Polls will stay open until 7 p.m. in most states, although some will stay open later.
The elections will determine if the Democrats continue to control the House of Representatives and the Senate, or if the Republicans come through with expected major gains. State governors are also up for election, as well as various ballot measures in the states.
