President Shimon Peres' office is attempting to arrange a meeting between Peres and Turkish President Abdullah Gul in Copenhagen, Army Radio reported Thursday morning. Relations between Israel and Turkey have cooled since Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, nearly a year ago. Turkey's prime minister recently said that if Israel tried to use its airspace while conducting operations over Iran, Ankara's reaction would resemble an "earthquake." Peres and Gul are in the Danish capital attending the international global warming conference, which has yet to produce international agreement on courses of action regarding the environment.
