Prosor to UN: Gaza flotilla ship a needless provocation

Israeli envoy to the UN Ron Prosor called on the Security Council to stop the flotilla en route to the Gaza Strip, referring to it as "a needless provocation."
The Swedish ship Estelle, carrying some 15 human rights activists, left from Italy for Gaza a-week-and-a-half ago in hopes of breaking the naval blockade of the territory. The activists said that the trip would take some two weeks upon there embarkation. They claimed to carry a message of nonviolence.
Prosor sent a letter of complaint to the Security Council and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, saying that "an unequivocal message must be sent to the organizers that such initiatives are destructive."
