Rabbi Yona Metzger opposes police questioning of Rabbis

Chief Rabbi of Israel Yona Metzger opposed the request by police to question Rabbi Dov Lior and Rabbi Yaakov Yosef about the book "Torah of the King" which discusses the murder of Gentiles, Israel Radio reported Sunday.
Metzger said that the Rabbis should not be interrogated by the police for contributing to the Halachtic book.
He added that Israeli professors going abroad who openly criticize Israel and the IDF are protected by the right to freedom of expression and questioned why the Rabbis do not fall under the same category.
