Rebels say they're battling to seize Misrata airport

ALGIERS - Rebels in the Libyan city of Misrata are fighting to wrest control of the city's airport from forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi, a rebel spokesman said on Sunday.
"Fierce fighting is taking place for control of the airport. The revolutionaries (rebels) are making progress. They will manage to secure full control soon, God willing," the spokesman, called Sami, told Reuters by telephone.
