Rehovot 'pregnancy coach' accused of sexual assault

Central district Police on Monday announced the arrest the day earlier of a 43-year-old Rehovot man they believe sexually assaulted dozens of women as part of what he said were “holistic” pregnancy treatments.
Detectives from the YAMAR investigative unit received complaints from a number of women who stated that the suspect told them he was an expert in holistic pregnancies.
The suspect, an attorney at the Petah Tikva public defender’s office, is believed to have carried out the assaults mainly in his house over the past three years. He reportedly told the women to come for the treatments without their husbands, and then would carry out the assaults.
The man was brought before to a hearing at the Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court on Monday, his remand was extended by seven days.
Police suspect the man assaulted dozens of additional women and have called on those who believe they were assaulted by a man claiming to be an alternative pregnancy coach to come forward to complain.
