Report: Egypt's former VP Suleiman to run for presidency

Former Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman decided Friday to run in the presidential elections, sources told Egyptian daily Al Masry Al Youm.
According to the report, Suleiman was persuaded to run by supporters and by pressure from senior politicians and former ministers.
Suleiman, appointed as vice president in the last weeks of the Hosni Mubarak regime, made the historic announcement that Mubarak was resigning, capitulating to demands of week-long mass protests calling for his ouster.
