Report: IDF shoots, kills infiltrator at Israel-Egypt border

An unidentified individual was killed early Tuesday when IDF troops shot at suspicious people and vehicles who were attempting to cross the border between Israel and Egypt, Israel Radio reported.

The soldiers had apparently asked the suspects to identify themselves, but upon receiving no response, were forced to shoot at the infiltrators.

According to the report, the man was transferred to a hospital with serious injuries, but died from his wounds a short while later.

The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the report.
