Report: Indian Maoists free Italian tourist held hostage

BHUBANESWAR, India - Indian Maoist rebels have freed an Italian tourist who was kidnapped almost two weeks ago in a remote area of eastern state Orissa, India's NDTV station said on Sunday.
Claudio Colangelo was freed, the report said. Another Italian is still being held captive.
The move came the day after the collapse of talks between the government and rebel nominated negotiators. On Saturday, suspected Maoists kidnapped a politician from the ruling party, adding to the tension.
