Report: Islamic Movement organizes aid for Syrian refugees

The southern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel announced Sunday that it had organized aid packages for Syrian refugees fleeing the violence that has plagued their home country for close to a year.
The aid will make its way to Syrian refugees in the coming days, Israel Radio reported southern branch head Hamad Abu Da'abes as saying.
Da'abes failed to mention which country the aid was headed for.
An estimated 34,000 Syrians have fled their country for neighboring nations such as Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan, according to the UN.
Druse community leader Sheikh Muaffak Tarif said while the Druse community is watching the events unfolding in Syria with great worry, it is not involved in the Islamic Movements fundraising activities.
