Report: Liberman likely to be indicted on minor charge only

Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein is likely to close a fraud case against Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman next week, but he will indict him on a secondary breach of trust charge, Channel 2 reported on Tuesday.
The foreign minister has been under investigation for several years for charges of fraud, obtaining benefits through deceit, money laundering and witness harassment.
According to the report, this case against Liberman is likely to be closed without an indictment. However, Liberman will likely be indicted for breach of trust in a separate case involving former ambassador to Belarus Ze'ev Ben-Aryeh
Last month, the Jerusalem District Court sentenced Ben-Aryeh to four months imprisonment, to be served through community service, for informing Liberman about the investigation against him.
Liberman later allegedly helped Ben-Aryeh in his efforts to be appointed ambassador to Latvia without disclosing their previous relationship.
