Eleven employees of a private clinic in Bucharest, among them Israelis, were arrested under the suspicion they were trafficking human egg, Army Radio reported on Tuesday evening.
The clinic allegedly worked to locate young women in Romania from distant and poor areas, paid them 600 euro for an egg donation, and sold the eggs to Israeli couples for 3,000-4,000 euros.
