Russia says six killed in gunfights in Dagestan

MOSCOW - Five suspected militants and the commander of an elite police unit were killed in gunfights overnight in the North Caucasus province of Dagestan, Russian authorities said on Wednesday.
The victims of two separate clashes in Dagestan included Rustam Radzhabov, the leader of a local insurgent group in the Caspian Sea shore city of Kaspiisk, Russian media cited the National Anti-terrorist Committee (NAK) as saying.
