Russia weighs Iran's invite to tour nuclear sites

MOSCOW — A senior Russian diplomat says Iran's invitation to tour its nuclear sites was met "with interest" in Moscow, but no decision has yet been made on whether to accept.
Iran has invited Hungary, which currently holds the European Union's rotating presidency, and several other countries including Russia, China and Cuba to tour its nuclear sites. The US was not invited.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Tuesday that Russia had some questions about Iran's proposal and was discussing them with the Iranians before making a decision.
The EU foreign policy chief has indicated that the EU will reject Iran's offer, saying the inspection of nuclear sites is the job of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency.
