Senior oncologist sentenced over bribery charges

The Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court sentenced a senior oncologist on Sunday morning to six months community service and fined him NIS 75,000 for accepting bribes and breach of trust.
According to the indictment, Doctor Aryeh Feeger referred patients at the hospital he worked  to his private clinic, where he charged them for consultations. In addition, Feeger took money from patients in return for preferential treatment. 
According to the judge, “This is an especially ugly exploitation of cancer patients’ distress out of pure greed.”
