Senior university staff reach deal, junior staff to strike

A wage agreement struck between the university administration and senior staff on Friday has cleared the way for the academic year to being on Sunday, Army Radio reported. Yet the junior staff, still unable to reach a wage agreement, is still slated to strike. Students supporting the junior staff will also hold a two-hour strike on Sunday.The wage disagreements come in the wake of university budget cuts mandated by the Finance Ministry.
