Slight drop in support for neo-Nazi party in Greece

Some 5.2 percent of respondents in Greece said they would vote for Golden Dawn, an ultra-right party, in the upcoming election on June 17, according to a new poll.
Jewish leaders have been worried by the rise in the party's popularity since it received 6.97 percent of the vote in the country's general elections last month. "In this case you would assume that a country like Greece that suffered so much at the hands of Nazis would know better than to spout this rubbish," said Efraim Zuroff of the Simon Wiesenthal Center on Monday.
Last week Nikolaos Michalolialkos, the founder of the Golden Dawn, reportedly denied the Holocaust in an interview. The polls released on Sunday also showed a rise in support for pro-austerity parties.
