Social workers protest outside Finance Ministry in J'lem

Thousands of social workers calling for the Treasury to restart negotiations on their salary agreement protested outside the Finance Ministry in Jerusalem on Sunday as their strike entered its 22nd day.
Last week the social workers rejected an offer from the Treasury to increase salaries by some 25 percent, to which Histadrut head Ofer Eini and Social Workers Union head Itzhik Perry agreed in principle.
The social workers argued that the overall conditions of the deal were not acceptable and the “fight must continue.”
