Soldier at Nahal's training base dies in Beersheba hospital

A soldier serving at the Nahal Brigade's training base died Monday at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, potentially of a bacterial infection.

Private Dvir Moor Onikobaski reportedly informed his superiors last week that he felt weak, after which he was sent to the IDF clinic to carry out medical tests, according to a statement released by the IDF.

His situation deteriorated, and the private began to run a high fever prompting the clinic to send him on Saturday to the hospital in Beersheba under fears that he had contracted a serious bacterial infection.

The IDF said in a written statement that it would investigate the circumstances that lead to the private's sudden death, adding that it would inform the Onikobaski's family of the results of the investigation.
