Soldier Eliraz Peretz’s mother requests stories of son

Miriam Peretz has asked those who knew her son Eliraz to send stories about him to a new e-mail address, elirazstories@gmail.com, which the family opened just for that purpose.

Maj. Eliraz Peretz, 32, deputy commander of the Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion, was killed in Gaza last Friday along with St.-Sgt.-Maj. Ilan Sviatkovsky.

Technically, the shiva period ended with the start of Pessah on Monday night. But friends and supporters continued to stream to Peretz’s mother’s home in Givat Ze’ev on Wednesday.

His wife Shlomit, along with their four children and Peretz’s two brothers, went down to the area of the Kissufim crossing, near where he was killed.
