Soldiers confront 'Jenin, Jenin' director in court

The Supreme Court discussed a defamation suit on Monday brought by five soldiers against Mohammad Bakri, the director of documentary Jenin, Jenin.

In a confrontation before the trial, the soldiers, who fought in Jenin as part of Operation Defensive Shield said that Bakri's film "makes IDF soldiers look like Nazis" and that he is "cooperating with the enemy."

In response, Bakri said that he has "no regrets over creating the film. If anyone needs to regret anything, it's the Israeli army, which was continuously committing crims," Bakri added.
