South Korean President Lee Myung-bak headed to the Unitd Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday on a trip which Seoul officials said is expected to focus on a South Korean bid to win a multi-billion dollar nuclear power plant project in the oil-rich country. A South Korean consortium, led by the state-run Korea Electric Power Corporation, is vying with an international consortium led by France's AREVA for the UAE project that is expected to generate contracts worth over $41 billion. In Abu Dhabi, Lee is scheduled to meet with his UAE counterpart, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Sunday.
