Spanish journalist receives ADL's 'Daniel Pearl Award'

BOSTON  — The Anti-Defamation League has awarded Spanish journalist Pilar Rahola its annual "Daniel Pearl Award" late Thursday evening.
The group presented the award in Boston at its annual meeting on Thursday.
The Barcelona-born Rahola, a reporter for the Catalan La Vanguardia, often writes on anti-Semitism in Europe. She said it was an honor to receive the award because it reaffirmed her commitment to reporting. She also called on other journalists to keep a critical eye when reporting on human rights violations in the Middle East.
