State reveals details of deal with Holyland witness

The State Attorney's Office released details on Wednesday of its agreement with the main state witness in the Holyland corruption scandal.
The state witness, known only as S.D., gave testimony that directly led to the Holyland investigation and to indictments against 13 individuals in what is one of the largest corruption scandals in the country's history.
In addition to being granted full immunity from prosecution, S.D. will also not be pursued by the Tax Authority, the State Attorney's Office noted, because the state witness has no property or financial resources.
Under its agreement with S.D., the state also agreed to inform the court that it agrees to waive payment of fees if S.D. filed a civil suit regarding the Holyland Affair, which he already has done.
