Steinitz: Ehud Barak waging a 'campaign of intimidation'

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz accused Defense Minister Ehud Barak of standing behind a "campaign of intimidation" in debate about the defense budgets.
According to Steinitz, the past three weeks have seen an unprecedented amount of reports meant to instill fear in the public and government about the repercussions of cutting the defense budget.
The finance minister argued that Barak can't continue to book accommodations in luxury hotels in Paris and then tell the public that their security will be affected if the defense ministry doesn't receive more funding at the expense of education, welfare and periphery programs.
"The IDF's budget is now the biggest it ever was, and it has received an additional NIS 4 million," Steinitz added.
