Steinitz says Japan disaster won't yet affect economy

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said that the environmental disaster in Japan would not cause drastic effects on the Israeli economy because most Israeli exports to Japan are insured, Israel Radio reported Monday.

He added, though, that the recent uprisings in the Arab world coupled with the the events in Japan could cause a shadow on global economic recovery which could reverberate in Israel's economy as well.
