Steinitz to residents: Return to work, respect the law

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz called on medical residents to respect the law and return to work on Monday, following a mass resignation of several hundred residents amid a labor dispute.

"We all need to respect the law and the rule of law," Steinitz said in a statement.

The finance minister further called on the medical residents to "return to work and hold discussions with us. We are looking for creative ways to improve certain things within the already-written agreement with doctors, including additional money."
