Strauss-Kahn, wife deny reports they're moving to Israel

Ex-IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn and his wife Anne Sinclair have denied media reports that they are planning to move to Israel.

The couple were in Israel over the weekend, staying at the home of French-Israeli businessman Jean Frydman in Savyon. French celebrity magazine Gala claimed on Wednesday that the couple – who are both Jewish - were beginning “a new life in Israel.”

“Anne Sinclair and Dominique Strauss-Kahn formally deny ever having envisaged moving to Israel as alleged today by a weekly that could not find any news,” their media lawyer Richard Malka told AFP.

Strauss-Kahn was considered an early front-runner for the 2012 French Presidential Elections, but he was forced to abandon the campaign and his position as International Monetary Fund Managing Director after New York prosecutors formally indicted him in May over allegations of sexual assault. Those charges were later dropped.
