Study: Only half of European airport workers trust security

A new study conducted by an Israeli professor from the Technion found that just a little over half of airport employees in Europe trusted the effectiveness of security technology in place at the airports.
Prof. Alan Kirschenbaum conducted the study as part of BEMOSA (Behaviour Modelling for Security in Airports), a European-wide research project aimed at improving security in airports.
According to the study, only 23.6 percent of airport employees and 58 percent of security workers said that when they saw something suspicious they alerted others.
