Supreme Court Justice Elyakim Rubinstein told an audience at Bar-Ilan University on Monday night that Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard has been in American prison for too long.
"A few days ago, Jonathan Pollard completed 26 years in prison," Rubinstein said. "This number speaks for itself. Enough is enough." Rubinstein was a diplomat at the embassy in Washington when Pollard was turned away from the gate while seeking asylum. In 1997, when Rubinstein was attorney-general, he asked his American counterpart, Janet Reno, to release Pollard.
