Survey shows most Israelis want free dental care for kids, teens

Nearly all Israelis want

A full 93 percent of Israeli adults favor giving free dental care to all children and teenagers, according to a poll conducted for the Health Ministry by the Panels survey company that was released on Thursday. While the positive response was overwhelming, the representative sample of 505 people were not asked if they wanted the coverage to come at the expense of the basket of health services, such as lifesaving and life-extending medications and technologies. Deputy Health Minister Ya'acov Litzman favors the money coming from the basket, while some MKs, public health experts and dentists oppose it.
